"Very expensive and if any crime is recorded they don't want to know"
"Very honest and friendly service. I handed over what I thought was a ten pound note but was actually two together and was handed one back along with the rest of my change. The vine leaves made for a nice lunch too."
"Shop here if you want to be accused of shoplifting. I went in with a half full grocery bag, had a brief look for stuffed vine leaves, couldn't see them after 20 seconds, went. Went to the meat market, but it was closed, so thought I'd have more of a look. The owner confronted me, asked if I was looking for something (to which I said yes, and told him) - he ignored my question, started repeating 'can' and wanted to look in my bag. I showed him, and he started rummaging around in it without so much of a word of notice. As the other comments, extremely abrasive. I'm a registered paramedic, reasonably well-dressed, and I can't say I've ever had a similar experience. AVOID. Al Madina is only a 20 seconds walk and has a better selection, better prices, and is always friendly with excellent customer service. I hope this place goes out of business."
"It seems most of the issues relate to parcel delivery. When coming to pick up a parcel the man at the front desk not only was extremely abrasive but I whilst looking for our parcel was chucking the parcels around. Luckily there's nothing breakable in ours but alarming. There was also a lot of rotten fruit and i spied one cockroach so thought better of buying any groceries."
