"This place is not open 24/7 as stated. They are frequently closed between 1am and 5am."
"Awful staff on a power kick, group of bullies"
"Staff completely rude, the lady and the supervisor especially also would like to point out the lottery and scratch card should be done at 11pm not 10:20pm . It’s against rules and regulations"
"I am so grateful to this place being open 24hours. I have health problems and one night my blood sugar dropped and they were fantastic. It was before lockdown. Last Saturday I nearly collapsed and a lovely young man named Malcolm asked me if I was ok. I explained it was my back. He carried my basket to the till. I felt like I wished he was my son. My neighbor goes to Tesco instead of the other supermarket cos he says it is far better. Thank you all for your help."
"I am a regular customer at this store because it’s next to my home. Since COVID-19, I always put the items (before paying for them) in my own plastic bag rather than holding the shopping basket, which changes hands tens of times every day. I feel more comfortable carrying the items in my own shopping bag and I have been doing that in all stores. When I go to the cashier, I empty my bag at the counter and won’t mind if the cashier wants to take a look at my bag to make sure I took all items out. Today after I was almost done with my shopping, the security guy came to me and said that I was not allowed to use my own bag and had to put the items in the shopping basket. I tried to explain that there was a pandemic and this was more hygienic than carrying the shopping basket, but he insisted and said that these were the rules. I emptied my bag in the shopping basket he gave me and left the store. I will not return till the pandemic is over because I won’t carry the shopping basket. I crossed the street to Sainsbury’s and got what I wanted while putting the shopping items in my own bag. I am not sure if this is a new rule that Tesco is imposing, or if it was always there. I respect that this is how they want to manage their business, but I will do my shopping elsewhere."
