"Experience by proxy .My two children studied here .Mega success .Daughter went on to become a Doctor and son went on to become an Accountant .All the credit goes to the staff and collage .parents should consider this King Edward college for your children's future success in life ."
"It's alright, nowhere near the standards that they claim to be, or were 20-30 years ago, a shadow of their former selves, bit off form really (Like Arsenal). Teachers are bang average and school is not supportive of students, Haybridge is way better lol. Only reason they get decent results is because for core subjects like I did (Maths, chem, bio) you need at least a 6-6 and a 7 (I got 9,9 and 8 and am still finding it difficult)."
"My son started here in September, not what I expected of a sixth form college. Noisy classes some disruptive students, The reputation that this six form college had got is quickly going into decline"
"It's a great college if you want to challenge yourself and get yourself out there, as your not really spoon-fed information. However, it does mean that if your struggling with anything or need help you do need to go find it yourself- but it prepares you for life at university. The facilities are nice, they always have new projects, like the a lovely new library. However, if do not have packed lunches the only places available are nearby restaurants and cafes, which might be unsustainable if you can't afford it- plus they don't really have much seating in terms of the canteen (one of the only indoor eating spots). Due to the increase in students, they are trying to open new spaces up however, so this will probably change. Absolutely loved my teachers, they got me through the two years mentally! I don't know what I would've done without them- they helped me get all the resources I needed for my education and for my mental health. They also challenged me in ways I never thought I could, as well as encourage me to achieve better and aspire more in life. The school also has counsellors, I had used their counselling service twice and although it may not be the same as getting a therapist, it's still nice to have someone understanding to help you. There were also people in school that weren't counsellors who helped me with my mental health and did a lot of the hard work for me in terms of admin and helping those around me know about the help I needed. Overall, a great college, it'll always be something I miss. Supportive and lovely staff!"
"Excellent college with modern facilities. This college treats you like an adult and you're expected to work hard and be responsible for yourself. Well worth the 1.5 hour commute to come here, the teaching was generally very good too."
