"Absolutely appalled by the service I received on 13/12/21. I had picked up the wrong item and hadn't realised until I paid for it. Asked a assistant called Jaqueline if I could swap and be refunded the difference of 30p. She huffed and said "you have to go to the customer service desk" which I then did. I was then greeted by another assistant who informed me she had to get someone else to do it, which was then Jaqueline (not sure why she didn't do it for me in the first place). She then stormed over clearly irritated with me and said "for gods sake" under her breath. I then asked her if I was causing her inconvenience and she then said "i'm doing it for you aren't I?". She then proceeded to give me incorrect change of 15p refund in 5p coins I then corrected her on this, she then threw down 6 x 5p coins on the counter. In all my time using this shop I have never experienced such shocking customer service. I was absolutely gobsmacked with her aggressive tone. I spend a lot of money in M&S, but regardless of this, no one should endure such behaviour for a simple return request. This lady clearly needs to be provided training in her customer service skills. A complete let down to the rest of the team in the shop, and a totally awful representation of the brand. I used to work for M&S for several years and never witnessed any colleague behaving like this."
"The opening times are quite good, however the staff are so unfriendly and rather weird. They constantly just gawp at you if you make polite eye contact. Nothing compared to the fantastic Customer Service at the nearby Waitrose store."
