"AVOID IF YOU'RE A PERSON OF COLOUR ! Avoid if you're a person of colour or prepare to be racially profiled until you leave the store. Absolutely appalling racial profiling by the security guard EVERYTIME it go here! He will either: Pull a face when I enter the store Follow me around the store Stand directly opposite the self service till i use and watch me until I leave Try and look in the shopping bags as I'm leaving I am SICK TO DEATH of it! I have complained to Tescos about this and nothing was done. Due to the above i just can't shop there anymore."

"Security guard accused me of acting suspiciously as I started to shop and then changed my mind, leaving without buying anything. His mate said that they hadn't 'seen me around here before' and so I might be a criminal element or some such nonsense. I live in the area, but apparently this Tesco is a 'local shop for local people'. Very odd experience indeed. Won't go back."

"Great store - best small supermarket in the area, and a surprisingly good range considering the size (including a decent select of stationery and world foods). They even stock less common items like tofu and pomegranate. I can buy 80% of my groceries here, it's much better than just a top up. Plus - staff are so friendly and welcoming, it makes shopping a much less stressful experience than normal."

"Normally I divide the reviews I give into a section of good and bad...but this store is different and here's why: *Selection - This Tesco Express store is pretty good in terms of its selection as a grocery "top-up" store. The selection available is the general goods that you would need to buy throughout the week as opposed to the things you buy during the weekend. *Customer Service - The customer service here is what makes this store so OUTSTANDINGLY GOOD. I stand to admit that even I was taken back by how friendly the members of staff are in this store. Even the body guard at the store entrance is one of the most friendliest people I've seen in Hither Green or within most stores for that matter. Needless to say, the membes of staff here are friendly, helpful and provide great customer service. *Hygiene - The store is pretty clean and there's hardly moments where you'll see something unclean. Furthermore the food, specifically the baked goods are generally well looked after which is a great plus. *Queues - This is London and much like London queues do happen and this store is no exception. Unfortunately sometimes the queues can feel extensive during a rush peroid, but this happens once in a while and not often enough to make this store off-putting. Overall: All in all...honestly this is hands down one of the best Tesco Express stores I've ever been to, if not the best. The customer service is what sets this store apart from most "stop and go" stores. I'd highly recommend this store and rate it a good 8/10 easily."
