"My boys (6&2) absolutely love this place. Lovely grounds to walk round and explore. They love the park there and really enjoyed conker picking. Was lovely in summer and even more beautiful now autumn has hit. This will definitely be a regular visit for us"
"A lovely park,so well maintained and Lydia's cafe is lovely.Very friendly staff."
"Amazing park why haven't I been before was my first thought. Clean and well presented with a duck pond, water feature and now a little cafe (it closes at 3 in winter I believe) but the coffee was really nice!!"
"Nice and pleasant little park. Shame the fountain near the pagodas never turned on or maybe its broken. Nice duck pond, always plenty of ducks to feed. Keeps the kids engaged and active running around. The hall itself has been rebuilt twice since the original building in the early 1400’s and it was eventually taken over by local authority in the mid 20th century and the grounds turned into a public park. There are 5.2 hectares of land, including a play area for the kids, bowling green, picnic areas and the lake. Well worth a visit with the family. Perfect bank holiday day out :)"
"This is a relatively small park but worth visiting particularly with children. Lots of seating areas and a decent sized pond to feed the ducks and swans. The reason for only 4 stars is that the play area looks as though it has been neglected. Missing swing, more benches than items to play on. It wouldn’t be able to cope with more than a few children at a time and is in need of some investment. There has clearly been significant money found to renovate the bowls green and pavilion. It would be nice if some funding could be provided to maintain equipment for young children to use and buy a couple more items to make it a bit more child friendly."
