"I spoke to Sammy today as I was having trouble locating a certain type of antibiotic for my baby girl. I wasn’t registered with the GP there but that didn’t stop Sammy. My wife had tried all the pharmacies in Tadcaster and was making her way through a them in York with no luck. Sammy asked which medicine I was looking for and I told her I’d have to spell it for her (at which point she guessed exactly what I wanted, strength and bottle size!) Unfortunately they didn’t have any but she told me to give her 10 minutes and she’d try her other pharmacies. She also checked with the pharmacist for some alternative solutions if we couldn’t source the strength we’d been prescribed so we now had a fallback just in case. True to her word, minutes later Sammy called back to let me know she’d found a bottle at one of the branches in Beeston and had it on hold for me. A few hours later, after our GP changed the prescription to a digital one, the pharmacy in Beeston had it prepped and ready to go. What an amazing group. Proactive, professional, kind and courteous. They really went above and beyond to help today and that’s a rare thing nowadays. Sammy - what an asset - thank you :)"
"Phone answered within a few rings. Very polite. Checked if prescription arrived from Doctors, checked if items in stock, offerred to prepare to pick up within 30 minutes. Well done!"
"I have worked in at several pharmacies in North Leeds during the last 8 years, Alwoodley is no better or worse than the rest. All pharmacies are stretched at the moment as they will not provide sufficient paid staff after their budgets were cut some years ago. No excuse for poor service. Personally i have always found Alwoodley staff pleasant, friendly and ready to help,Sammy has served me on my last few visits and she always has a smile and is polite. Ive noticed that they have stopped replying to feedback reviews (even the good ones) ,no doubt they will say they are too busy."
"I just called the pharmacy and said is the prescription ready as i'm coming in a taxi and he's waiting for me, I'll be there 10 mins. She said that's ok. I get there and am told they can't give out medicine as chemist is on his lunch! I said why didn't they tell me that on the phone? No answer and I've wasted a fiver. They are inept. So annoyed"
"Located in the Alwoodley health centre , there are two entrances for the pharmacy . First tho if you park up in the car park you will see that there are five disabled parking bays , plus one bay for EV (electric vehicle) and this is complete with charging point . It’s a busy place especially in a morning and you need to pay heed to allocated parking. From the carpark you can access the pharmacy direct as there’s an outside entrance which has automatic sliding doors . The entrance way is flat and level and there is plenty of room for wheelchairs to get in and out . There is also a very wide raised shutter doorway giving direct access to/from the health centre. There is a central carousel seating area for anyone waiting and the staff are polite, quick and efficient . This pharmacy I would say is more geared up to deal with prescriptions than other things , but there are other things on sale in the shop. If you need WC facilities you will have to use the health centre I didn’t take pics inside the shop as it was too busy ."
