"AVOID- Customer service here is very bad considering it is a premium brand. I visited twice. Once to purchase earrings for Xmas and make a piercing booking, then a second time for the appt. At no point whilst making the booking was It explained that each earring is £175 plus £20 for service. Once the piercer worked out I didn’t understand the circumstances she just kind of smirked and was VERY unhelpful. Beautiful jewellery, but the service is no where near worth the product you are getting. I would advise to steer clear.. have a piercing somewhere local that won’t put on a crazy mark up and then buy earrings from another of the brands about which now offering equally beautiful pieces once the piercing is healed."

"We went in selfridges today for a look round and found this shop and my mum was looking at purchasing some of their earrings and we were blanked twice by the blonde shop assistant The thing is my mum has about 20+ earrings in her ears plus extra in her nose"

"*Edit- A&M have replied to my email and a refund is being made* I visited the Astrid & Miyu Store in Selfridges at Trafford Centre on August 25th for a Jewellery Change. One of the piercings I had changed was my 3-year-old fully healed flat piercing, the piercer gave me two options of jewellery to pick from and I decided on the Cystal Gold Barbell, I asked her if the post would fit the type of piercing I have and upon looking at the back of my ear she said it should be fine. After fitting the new jewellery I noticed that the Barbell was very snug against my ear and by the time I got home I noticed it seemed too tight. By Saturday (the 28th) the piercing started to swell and become uncomfortable, at which point I followed all home self-care techniques to ease the swelling, this however did not fix the issue and my ear continued to swell until the barbell became imbedded into my skin and I could barely see it. I am now dealing with an infection and have had to go to another piercing parlour in order to get the barbell professionally removed as it was so stuck in my ear, I could not remove it without tools. Upon looking at your website, I can see that the Crystal Gold Barbell should not have been used for a flat piercing- please note it is not the same placement as a helix piercing- and when clicking on the details section where there is a list of what the jewellery is suitable for, my piercing is not on that list. The post was too short for a flat piercing, hence the feeling of tightness on the first day of getting it changed and the ultimate swelling. Considering I had the jewellery changed by a licensed piecer at your store, I would think she would know not to use that type of jewellery on my piercing and should have seen that the post was too short. When I originally brought this issue up by messaging Astrid & Miyu via Facebook Messenger, I was just told to come in to change it- that wasn't very helpful though as I do not trust I will receive proper care and awareness, especially by that point the piercing had swelled quite significantly and I've only had the jewellery in for under 2 weeks. I paid £39 for that specific Crystal Gold Barbell and would like a refund as I believe this was nothing but negligence from the store and should have never occurred.
