"I visited Kim's looking for a repaint of my toe nails with shellac. I've had this done on numerous occasions with other salons in the area and it's a fairly quick but effective treatment. Unfortunately the technician I had handled my feet as though they were made of clay, squeezing and prodding which was not enjoyable or relaxing. But the most disappointing aspect is the result. He didn't push back my cuticles or remove any of the skin that was peeling and then painted on top of the weirdness! I've been left with toenails which to be honest look a bit DIY which isn't what I was expecting, when your paying someone else you expect them to be neat and tidy and at least to the edges of the nail. Thought about going back all day but to be honest looking at other reviews I don't think I'd of got a positive response. Will walk the extra steps to Whitton Nails in future"

"DISAPPOINTMENT!! I went to have my nails done and showed them pictures of exactly what I wanted which was ombre on a few nails and a marble design on others. I picked pink and red as the colours and was told it's doable. They did the base colour which looked alright. The edges were very messy (see pic 1) and I had to ask TWICE to have them cleaned. They're still not great as u can see in the picture. Then they did the marble effect. The woman started off by saying she can only do it on a white base! um WHAT. I asked for a pink base and was told it's doable. Plus, why in the world would u only be able to do it on a white base?? I flat out had to tell them, that's not what I agreed to pay for and will not have white nails when I was told at the beginning what I want is doable! They finally agreed to do them. Now the design looks alright but it does NOT look like marble. It looks like some random wavy lines. (See pic 2) PLUS, I had asked for something specific but they didn't even try to copy it despite having a picture as a reference. It was overall a very disappointing experience, considering I paid £40 and didn't even get what I wanted. They look very homey. My friend could have done a better job. Literally nothing professional about them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!"

"I paid £20 for a full set of acrylic nails with just paint and it was £30 if I wanted gel on top but I didn't and they look just like gel anyway. The guy that did my nails was very nice and GENTLE which you don't usually find in nail salons, not one cut on my fingers at all. I made an appointment at 4:30 but was late and they still fit me in. A few women I spoke to in there that live local said they don't go anywhere else on the High Street and some others even had loyalty cards! It was an over all job some of my nails are painted better than others but the shapes are all great. I would definitely recommend it as so many people had nice things to say about the nails and the staff which says a lot considering there are so many salons on this street."
