"My daughter (10yo) and I spent two nights in one of the camping cabins. We absolutely loved it!! The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable and having a heater and kettle/cups/tea& coffee etc made it extra cosy and welcoming. The site is excellently situated, well run, safe and secure. Lovely hot showers and washroom/toilets nice and clean. Good washing up area with option to use chest freezer for food. Ice creams available with an honesty box. The site owners are so nice and welcoming and very helpful and accomodating. The views from the site are just incredible! Highly recommend Ernest's Retreat, we will be back very soon!!!"

"came and stayed for 1 night in the camping pods as a last minute booking, wish i’d of stayed longer! An amazing site with very clean facilities and friendly owners. Campsite lovely and the pods were cosy, warm and clean. Superb layout with hooks and kettle for hot drinks that are provided. The quality and items provided in this pad are exceptional and more than most, and at a great price! Will definitely be coming back here!"

"This is a great place for a young family, my children throughly enjoyed themselves playing within the fields during their visit to Ernests Retreat. The facilties were always clean and tidy. A freezer was avaliable for use, which was useful for ice packs and food storage. The owners were extrememly helpful and friendly, offering advice on the best places to visit and eat. Its reasonably priced for what is on offer. They have even organised food vans such as fish and chips and pizza to visit site weekly, which can be helpful if you fancy a lazy night of the cooking. Highly recommend."

"In a Pod for a couple was perfect. Had kettle and condiments and a bed with a sheet on Toilets were a bit of a walk away not far but far if you desperately need it. Clean. Very kind people who ran it. I had pizza from pizza night and stomach wasnt to happy at all. (cant prove but happened soon as ate) they offered us a rented firepit tbh i think it shud be in with the price. It was 5 pound for how ever long we was there. There wasn't a table supplied for when sat round fire pit outdoors so had to keep putting drink on floor. They rented fire wood and delivered it even at 10pm when we ran out. Wud most definitely recommend i will go back to the place"

"A little gem of a place that is enhance by the lovely views from the pods. The staff are very helpful and accomodating. The shower block is also very clean and the water in the showers is nice and hot. There is a fish and chip van comes round on a Wednesday between 5 and 7 pm and they are beautiful."
