"Good pitches and the lady running the place was friendly and helpful. Decent fishing, cafe and tackle shop. Enjoyable weekend. Just missing a star for the flooding showers and condition of the fish in some lakes. They obviously get hammered all year."
"Nice for fishing and my husband loves the fishing lakes. Facilities are good but not amazing. Fantastic staff though and friendly place"
"Second time I've camped here. The experience was amazing. Fishing was fantastic. 2 of us fishing and both caught our pb. Mine a 20lb mirror and my friend an 18lb mirror. There are a lot bigger to be caught here. Each session I fished had at least 1 over 10lb. Tackle shop is very well stocked. The cafe and bar was great. Food very nice and there was some entertainment on which was a great laugh. All the staff and people around are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back here again"
"Absolutely horrendous! The staff were awfully rude, and discriminative. They have no concern for people at all. The tent pitches were all over the place, no real organisation, and no activities for children. Wouldn’t call it a ‘holiday’ park. Also, the toilets were disgusting with water flooding in most of them from the showers and toilet seats off. No lighting either on the footpaths at night, which can be very dangerous."
"Booked a Tuesday off work to get on the Moat Pool (outer) as it's matched up most days, and pretty much had the lake to myself, wanted to try out some new banjo feeders I'd bought. I'd heard there were some nice upper doubles in there and the lake did not disappoint..! Had 11 upper doubles and some smaller carp and a couple of bream all on 6ml fishery pellet and banjo feeder, bar 2 out the margins toward the end of the session, one thing I did find though is that using the mold for the feeder didn't produce, but molding by hand, the tip flew round pretty quickly, maybe the fish have seen the molded feeders more than not, or looks to "man made" ... Dunno it could've just been an on the day kinda thing. Oh an the cafe is shut Tuesday and Wednesday, was gutted at first, but then again it saved me money and waistline... Silver linings an all that I suppose..! Be going back again soon... Cheers for a brilliant session..!"
