"Well run supermarket apart from the staff are always yapping when the red lights are flashing on the self checkouts. What makes it worse is they know you are waiting but leave you to wait longer on purpose. The Managers need to watch them. Rude!"
"My wife and I tried to purchase the extra special meal deal for £12, it didn’t come off at the checkout, so we queried it and we’re told that the meal deal wasn’t on. I checked when I got home and the meal deal is still on. We had picked up a bottle of wine that shouldn’t have been in the meal deal section. The staff should have checked properly online, as I did, instead of fobbing us off with the first thing that came to mind."
"Put the price of the make your own pizza up and half the product you get. By the time the pizza base is cooked the 3 grains of cheese you get are burnt. Absolutely shocking. Will pay 66p for the frozen one next time as get the same product for less than the price of an extra topping of the make your own."
"This Asda is my local shopping point so I visit the store quite often. The car park is very large and offers disabled parking, some of theses are right outside of the door and there is more to the left hand side of the carpark. There are also a few more business dotted around the carpark like Timpson and McDonald's. Once you enter there are now security gates that you must pass through, I'm not sure if this is for covid or theft but it is secure enough. There is a clothing section that is quite large and at some points of the year there are some fab deals. The store itself is like a huge Wearhouse filled with Aisle after Aisle and each section of the store focuses on a different area. There is also a fresh section located in the middle that is normally stocked fairly well. The shelves are very hit and miss depending on the time and day you visit the store, I believe this is because the level of staff the Asda now offers is shocking, there are never members of staff walking around that you can really ask for help like you used to be able too. There is a pizza making area at the back that allows you to customise your own pizza, this is fantastic! There is also a bakery, this used to be amazing and the Asda always smelt of fresh bread however, they decided to fire the baker's so there has been a few changes to this section and I was sad to see them go. The other think that is worth mentioning is the price changes over time stores normally put prices up by maybe 10p at a time so that it's not that big of a deal for customers however Asda have recently been changing prices by 50p upwards and removing offers that have been available for years. This is very disappointing as we have been through a pandemic and there are people who struggled before this change. Overall I thing there are some good qualities about the store, but unfortunately over the years it seems to have changed for the worse. I hope soon there will be plenty of staff again helping the store stock up and stay clean."
"Not the biggest fan of Asda Runcorn. I always feel as though people go there for a day out with the kids. Today’s experience was a spare of the moment decision and it paid off. Shelves well stocked, reasonably quiet for Saturday before Christmas. Staff were helpful looking for a few items. I wasn’t thrown into the aisles to look for myself but guided. Another nice touch in customer service. Traffic being directed in the car park, it does help, especially when drivers get frustrated and Nicki on till number one was a star, she helped with pricing and was really efficient. Thanks for a much better experience than I have had over the years"
