"Had a couple of visits, it was a long waiting time to be seen but that's the mental health system in general, especially adult mental health services. I see Ruby and I feel heard and understood, she gives shiz and its been helping me. I am Autistic, diagnosed at the age of 30, had to change services due to moving areas and so far I am liking this one, parking needs a bit of attention but not their area to deal with."
"Waited 5 years for an appointment. Finally got ONE. had said appointment and was told they could not help me because I was not "newly diagnosed" I argued with them and managed to get another appointment with a Psychologist who was lovely but also stated she could not help me....reception staff terrified me, didn't understand my need for my assistance dog and generally got frustrated with me because I couldn't communicate with them even though they work at an autism service and autism is a communication disability"
"Absolutely wonderful experience. A long wait to get here due to no fault of the staff and the first thing they did was apologise and tell me how they're trying to fix it! I didn't even ask! Everyone I spoke to was helpful, calm and just genuinely wonderfully understanding. I cannot understate how great my experience today was. I'm really thankful for all the hard work they are doing and I very much feel looked after and listened to. They have a very high level of knowledge in and around the subject of mental health and ADHD and they care. It really shows. If everyone who needed it could get this standard of care, the country would be in a far, far better place. Thanks, so much!"
"They made me wait nearly 9 months to hear back from my referral letter that was sent to them by the gp for them to tell me that I do not have adhd. I then went as I did not believe what they had said and felt they were just passing people off as they did not have the time for it. Once going private i was not only told I had adhd but told I have both types of adhd. Do not recommend going here and if you need help but your gp will only send you there tell your gp with the right to choose act that you go can go somewhere with a shorter waiting list as after doing this i was send to psychiatry uk who made me feel heard and were amazing throughout my treatment."
"I was in the waiting list for autism for about 1.5 years. The process was handled very professionally and I was diagnosed autistic. I had no issues described by other patients. I hope that the department is listening to everyone and taking on board comments. My experience would suggest that they are."
