"We went as a family of 23 today, and not one of us enjoyed our meal. The starters were horrible and looked messy. The mains were lower than an average pubs quality. The meat was like cardboard for a start, and the rest tasted so bland. We were all going to leave a negative review, but thought best to not do this. What happened to the King's croft? Last year it was great! The food was great, and not a bad word could be said. We will 100% never be coming again. I'm sorry, but to say this cost us over £600 is an absolute robbery. How you can charge people for that absolutely baffles me. The only positive I can say, is the staff. The service was great. But the food was absolutely terrible. I would highly recommend not going here if you want food. Avoid at all costs."
"Stayed for a wedding and the room we were given was tiny, the bed was only a ¾... not good for a couple, especially when I'm 6'3". I spoke to reception and they moved us to another room that was much better with no quibble. Breakfast was buffet style and was very good."
"A four star hotel earning four stars from me. Nice, clean rooms though somewhat claustrophobic. The food was good but the drinks were expensive, with two cokes and a Dram Buie coming to more than £10. In my opinion there were too many younger members of staff resulting in a lower standard of service. With a little effort this venue could have earned five stars!"
