"if i could give this place less than one star i would. i went in rather optimistically, hoping that all the things i had heard were wrong. they weren’t. firstly, i have been waiting for an actually key worker for over a year after my old one left! on top of that, i have waited over 2 years for an autism diagnosis, something i desperately need as i am soon entering university, and need quite a lot of accommodations to help me. i was given a young people worker, who after one session, didn’t turn up for 4 weeks, then sporadically would appear at my school only to recite the same script she told me the last time i saw her. after multiple suicide attempts, nothing was done, and i was simply discharged to a meds review team as they recommended that i up my dosage more and more. i have been offered no support, no updates on anything, and no communication whatsoever. i cannot afford private healthcare, and camhs have been perfectly happy to let me and my family suffer. avoid this place at all costs. you will not benefit from the neglect and abuse they put you through."
"Appalling service. Willful neglect, lied to, fobbed off repeatedly, let down repeatedly and that's after years of waiting, chasing and battling with them. Definitely some staff members doing jobs they simply aren't fit to do. Any excuse to discharge your child they'll leap on it. It appears to be all about making their numbers look ok every quarter and very little else. Recently made contact for the sake of it, to tick a box and then say they can't offer any help they just wanted to 'check in'. What's the point in asking how things are if when we say they are absolutely terrible they say sorry we can't help we are 'stretched'. I've never been so let down by any organisation in my life, at a time when my child's life has seemingly depended on them doing their job well. Local hospital psychiatric nurse said they had totally failed my child. Senior consultant psychiatrist from another authority said they are failing my child on a truly alarming level. It's one thing to say you are stretched, underfunded or give excuses but to not change that culture in 4 years and just keep repeating mistakes and failings is another. They should put themselves in special measures or close - just do something, anything, but this repeated cycle of inadequate service simply for government box ticking is a shocking failure at the very top of this organisation. I feel sorry for anyone who gets referred here and I actually fear for their child's safety if they suffer from suicide ideation or self harming as my child does. My advice do not hope to be helped by this organisation. My actual experience is you have very little chance. Other reviews should be a warning to you also!"
"discharged me without telling me or my mum, just because i apparently didnt communicate. I was writing pages of what i was thinking i just couldnt say it because im autistic. Also have been ignoring me and my mum said theyd call to check in every month but had no contact for almost a year. Useless service been with them since i was 4 do not recommend"
"Our son was diagnosed with ADHD in October of 2019 and we were then passed to the medication team. We were asked to have a full check on our son by his GP including a heart check. We did this within 2 days of the request and this was sent back to the medication team, at this point we were told his medication would be arranged but there was a few weeks waiting list. It is now May 2021 and we are still on the waiting list despite numerous calls and complaints from ourselves, ed psychs, gp, paediatricians etc. and are still no nearer getting this vital medication 17 months after referral. Lockdown and Covid restrictions have taken our sons ADHD to new levels and have caused us all great distress that could have been avoided or at the very least significantly reduced if this had been sorted as promised 17 months ago. It is impossible to contact the medication team and we are still having to try and get through to them via the psychologists team (who were great by the way) and other specialists which is ridiculous. An extremely poor service from the medication team and they only got 1 star because I couldn't give them zero"
"The therapists here are hit and miss.all.i can say is after 4! Years of referral and appointments ...my kid has been helped by a wonderful understanding person. The first 2 and a half years were BAD no to much help or insight and quite frankly unsupportive and unrealistic views and terms used. The 2 people that were put in place to help my daughter to start with ..really didn't help they made things worse. .but we believed in the system and eventually a proper therapist / person was found and.this has helped so.....A BITTER SWEET experience.with chams at Keighley. Thanks for the proper help AT LAST .!."
