"Saw Dr Jaunet. Sorry if I miss-spelt your name. Had a wonderful experience. Very thorough and kind. Been going to this dental practice ever since I can remember. Great customer service, brilliant receptionists and dentists."
"My usual dentist is wonderful but was on maternity, so I had a new dentist. I wasn’t particularly happy, I feel basic dentist soft skills could have been applied 1. Introduce yourself/ smile at patient, ask how they are etc 2. Explain the procedure before doing it. Explain why you’re doing it, explain it might be painful, reassure them that everything is ok. They performed a sensitivity test which I had never experienced before and I didn’t understand why it was being done, what determined this decision. And it was painful and unexpected 3. If the patient mentions pain, show empathy- I’m sorry that’s occurring, hopefully we can help. Avoid responding with ‘I’ve never heard of that before’ which feels invalidating. Provide constructive advice or what might help instead 4. Ask about their history before the procedure if you haven’t had time to look at it. I have one tooth damaged from impact so would have felt more at ease if they were aware. I feel like the test done in the appt aggravated the pain which I feel today I was told that my teeth were sensitive due to diet. I mentioned I eat fruit and that was the immediate conclusion my dentist decided, which I didn’t feel was a thorough conclusion. I felt as if it was a crime to eat healthily. Told to eat 5 fruit for the day in the space of 20 mins. Even if it’s necessary, acknowledging it’s an unusual ask would at least put the patient at ease / show empathy I understand they may be short on time, but I am still paying for the appt, and shouldn’t feel like I’m receiving rushed healthcare. Even if they are short on time mention that you can book another appt for free in the space of two months would have been more helpful. Find ways to work around it professionally would be more helpful for the patient. I am mainly disappointed because I know i receive a great service from my usual dentist so I know a good service is possible and not an unrealistic ask"
"I was seen by a fantastic male dentist (sorry, I've forgotten names) and his assistant yesterday. I'd had a negative experience with an emergency consultation through 111. My face was even more swollen afterwards (because of a tooth infection) I was in unbearable pain. They were professional, compassionate and thorough. I'd be in a lot of pain and in danger healthwise if it weren't for the excellent treatment I received at Elm House. I can't thank you enough for your care."
"Today I had a quick clean up appointment scheduled for 10am with Dr. Martha Manjarres. I know from the last 3 experiences that she is not the best person when it comes to a basic time keeping. In the past when she was always running late, I can at least get the treatment done on the same day. Today (16th Nov) she was 40 mins late and refused to do the clean up procedure. Dr Manjarres asked me to go to the reception and schedule a new appointment. Which is going to be now on 29th Dec. I find her regular lateness is very disrespectful towards patients. It's not how qualified professionals conduct themselves on a day to day basis. Really disappointed about postponed appointment and hope it will not be the case again going forward."
"I have been coming to this dentist now for around 7 months to get a broken filling which turned into a root canal and now I've opted for a crown. I cant recommend this dentist enough! My dentist (Sorry I don't remember her name!) is a really lovely lady who has put me at ease from day one and her nurses are always really friendly and its just a really nice experience. Considering I have previously had bad anxiety about even going to a dentist, I always come out if there smiling and I feel very well looked after and at ease and always get great advice without feeling judged at all. The reception staff are always friendly, helpful, approachable and polite - and the text message before appointments is great because you don't get that with every dentist. Honestly come here to get your mouth looked after - they are really great at what they do! Thank you :)"
