"I had to book an emergency appointment (they are not my usual dentist). Through a scan they discovered a huge abscess caused by an ill fitting previous tooth repair. I am a very nervous patient and they put me so at ease and explained that they would sedate me and how everything would work. It didn't hurt and I came to completely relaxed. "State of the art dental care Now I'll be honest. Going to the dentist is not my favourite pastime and consequently I had put off some essential treatment for far too long. And when I lost a filling during lockdown I had to patch it with an emergency repair kit and then look for a dentist. Now my partner went to Acorn a while ago - she had a full upper denture which she hated and several different dentists had said that she really didn't have any other options. But Dr Sehra and his team built her a whole new permanent upper set of implants - I think it's called 'all on 4' - and for her it's been a literally life-changing experience. So of course she was very keen I should go to Acorn and I have to say I was very impressed. I had to have both root canal surgery and a crown fitted - and the practice has an associate doctor who specialises in the root canal procedure, which was completely painless (more than I can say for the previous time I'd gone through that procedure many years ago!). I was walked through the process and then shown X rays afterwards to confirm the precision of the operation. As a techie myself I was fascinated to see how Dr Sehra was able to use some very sophisticated computer software to design a new crown and then mill and kiln fire it on the premises, so it could be fitted during the same visit. So - I get for most of us a visit to the dentist isn't something we look forward to - I was dreading it after my previous experience elsewhere - but the team here are utterly professional with state of the art equipment and I'm very grateful to them also in these difficult times for being here to look after me so well. "Amazing Service from Dr Sehra and the team. Have had two weeks of excruciating pain from a cracked tooth and infection during the Covid lockdown, and where my normal dentist would not see me, I tried Acorn Dental Care. Within a few hours of calling I saw Dr Sehra, had xrays, a consultation and root canal work, temporary cap and left with pain relief and antibiotics. All staff were extremely friendly and professional and the surgery and facilities were first class. Will be returning for the second part of the treatment and will look to use Dr Sehra for all future dental work. Thoroughly recommended, especially in an emergency!!"
