"Had an MOT here a month ago based off a recommendation from someone who worked at VW Loughton. Just book your slot online, rock up 5 mins before and hand over the keys. It takes around 45 mins, there's a Costa round the corner or you can go shopping and come back later in the day, just let them know your plans. Friendly staff!"
"As MOT experiences go, this place is top of my list. Booking was straightforward and is done online. Payment is taken on the day. It gave me peace of mind knowing the centre is run by the council. There is no vested interest in identifying spurious problems. The staff are friendly and helpful, politely pointing out that I could have booked any time in the last month rather than waiting to the day the MOT was due to expire and also recommending I use the handbrake more. The reception/waiting area is comfortable and pleasant. My sat nav initially guided me to the wrong part of the industrial estate so if you end up at Costa then turnaround, take a right at Oakland Hill and head a few hundred metres unitl you see what looks like a council depot. (The positioning on google maps is spot on)"
