"They refused to give back my belongings at coat check. Extremely disrespectful staff. There are many better locations to go to in Cambridge. Please avoid Vinyl."
"I loved this venue, I thought I felt safe here then a member of security found out I wasn't born a woman like I presented. My cis friends love this place and I did too I'm, happy for them but I am scared of the area. I tried again after a bad experience with a bouncer and I don't remember my night, my close friends don't know what happened but next thing they new was I was terrified which isn't like me at all. Gorgeous club great music and generally wonderful staff but if you're queer in some way maybe be careful, I hate to say this but keep safe, we apparently ALWAYS need to."
"Been here on 2 different occasions so have a bit of experience with this club. First, the club itself. Admission is only £6 per person, which is a very good and reasonable price. Bouncers are nice and friendly, and they accept citizenship cards which I have had a bit of trouble with in other clubs, despite their authenticity. Drinks could be cheaper but definitely are not expensive. Toilets are pretty clean, the club itself is kept quite clean too, despite the natural club mess that builds up like spilt drinks and empty cups, but you won't find a club without those. The dancefloor is absolutely gorgeous, albeit small, and the music isn't really clubby, more like a disco which is in keeping with the club's ongoing theme of the 60's to 00's. They have played ABBA both times I've been there which I absolutely love, and having older songs like this allows you to make friends with people from older age groups you wouldn't normally talk to which makes for a truly timeless experience. Speaking of the experience and the overall feel of the club... The first time I went was on Tuesday night with my friend, which we didn't realise until after that it was the LGBT+ night. We were a bit nervous on our first day so we were just standing on the dance floor too nervous to dance, just shifting the weight on our feet. Just when we were thinking clubbing wasn't our style, a girl came up to us, held our hands and got us to dance, and before we knew it we were dancing all night having a great time. The people here are probably the friendliest and most easygoing people you will meet that have no problem making newcomers like me and my friend feel welcomed. The second time was on a Saturday night, and this time we had no problems with going to dance ourselves, just because that one girl who came to dance with us on our first night gave us so much confidence. We found another group of friends and they quickly welcomed us with open arms and danced with us until we had to leave to get home, unlike other clubs in which people keep more to themselves, this place is truly the most accepting and open club I've been to. Overall you will not find a friendlier club in Cambridge and you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable night here!"
"Came out on a Saturday night with a group of friends and had such a fun night! Atmosphere inside was great, good music and quick service. Bar staff were so friendly and enthusiastic, and the management were very attentive! Will definitely be coming back!"
"Music and atmosphere wasn't my thing, but for what it was the place was fairly decent. However, prices were (in my opinion) a little ridiculous. Bouncers were nice, but ticket both staff were unnecessarily rude. The woman working the coat check was also a poor experience, who tried to charge me for every item in a bag (make sure you don't get taken advantage of). Same with the guy walling round with shots - who promised 6 for £10 then loaded up £17 on the card machine - it's be easy not to check, but make sure you do! Finally, on exiting coat check woman tried to slam my bags and coat into a pool of beer on the floor (again, AVOID). The manager behind the bar was sound however, and deserves to be working in a far better place."
