Second, when your lawyer has taken on your case, be ready that you could not hear from him for at least 20 days because he is preoccupied with other cases. In the meantime, every time you send an email asking when he can get back to you, you will be charged £25. This fee is due whether or whether you agree with the care letter's terms. When deciding whether to use their service, consider yourself two questions. First, do you have the time and energy to gather the facts and arguments yourself? "My experience using Wilford Smith’s conveyancing service for a house sale echoes some of the other Google reviews here – simply awful service. Their communication was shocking - even when I sent begging emails and left voicemails asking for them to urgently contact me. Ultimately, I felt like I was doing most of the work on this case. I sent a complaint (giving them the opportunity to put things right) but everything I raised was dismissed leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. When I mentioned that I found the process stressful, I was told that this ‘is the nature of buying and selling property’. Well, my house purchase was handled by another firm and that experience was entirely different. It’s too late for me but I wanted to try and prevent potential future clients from going through the same experience as me.
