"We recently purchased a new sofa from Furniture World Selby. Ordered in mid January and was quoted an estimated 4-6 weeks. In store Josh was friendly and we agreed on a price for a bespoke sofa and footrest at a great price. It was delivered 7 weeks after order within a given 2 hour window. Delivery chaps did a great job and was very efficient even taking away my old sofa which is a great service. Very happy with our purchase and would definitely return if I needed another piece of furniture. More than happy to support local independent traders rather that big chains who incidentally quote 14-16 weeks for their sofa's. Very happy with our new sofa and service."
"I went ordered a sofa in December. I was told it would be delivered in the middle of February so I paid £1000 deposit. It’s now the beginning of march so I have contacted them. I was told they had wrote down the wrong number so they couldn’t contact me even though the receipt for my deposit which they photocopied so they kept a record of my details had the correct contact number on. They then came back with another excuse of the Factory had suffered from a fire so there would be a further 4 week delay. After this they then told me it was in stock, awaiting delivery but they didn’t have the correct contact number so couldn’t deliver it even though they also had my address and email address. They’re refusing to give back my deposit so I have now contacted my bank."
