"It's taken me a few days to write this review as I'm deeply hurt and still in shock. I went to west harrow garages and explained to russle what i was experiencing with my vehicle he said by what ive explained it sounds like my head gasket has failed but he needs to do a vehicle diagnostic and a combustion leak test to confirm. I took my car in at 9 30am on 28th Nov 2022. By around 4.30pm i called to see what the outcome was russle then informed me my head gasket had cracked/ failed and the coolant combustion leak test had proved that. He said the car will require a strip down and gasket replacement to the tune of £1750 he said i shouldnt drive the car and to leave the car with him and he will get the work started next week. Something just didn't sit right with me so I collected my car and went for a second and third opinion. Both other garages told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my head gasket one of them did the combustion leak test infront of me twice and showed there was no failure. I can't believe russle tried to make me part with just shy of 2 grand claimed he carried out these tests and charged me £45 for it. I'm disgusted and dissapointed as I have used this garage before and other staff members have been great and seemed caring. But I'm left wondering have they done this to others and what would of happened if I didn't follow my gut feeling and left my car there would they of really carried out the work on a working gasket and charged me. Right before Xmas and during this cost of living crisis were all facing. I lost a days work and was charged £45 to be lied to"
