"Very quiet pub. Shame it didn't have any atmosphere"
"Old fashioned traditional village pub with garden and fire and cozy atmosphere. Ideal for pre and post drinks after events such as plays and pantomimes in the village hall or even post dog walks to warm up!"
"A perfect place for a pint or two. Good beer well kept."
"Such a shame that what could have been a lovely traditional village pub, has been absolutely ruined by the cheap industrial flooring used in the main room. It’s the type of lino that is found in sport changing rooms or the men’s toilets, normally in either maroon or that soulless blue-grey interspersed with shiny flecks and dark bits (they’ve opted for the soulless blue-grey here). It totally destroys the character of the pub, which has beautiful features and wooden beams etc. It was so reminiscent of a public toilet that it feels that anyone could urinate against the bar at any minute. Yet their actual toilets have a much nicer tiled floor!! You could improve this pub immediately by swapping the flooring around between the bog and this catastrophe. It makes what could be a really cosy and enticing room, about as welcoming as your first day at Strangeways. As we left, we asked why they’d done it, and were told that ‘traditionally this has always been the workers room, where they’d come after work and so the other room has the carpet while this room’s floor was easier to clean’. You never heard of ‘wood’?"
