"A nice walk around the lake on hard paths so no mud. Alternatively, you can go exploring in the woods .. less crowded but muddier A nice cafe halfway around for a cuppa and hot sausage roll"
"Did a very long walk a round the Lake on Bank Holiday Monday"
"You have to try the ice cream, better than the Italian gelato! The park is well maintained as well."
"Great place to visit for the outdoors. Beautiful lake with plenty of walking/cycling routes. Slightly busier than normal but thats kind of to be expected considering. Not many places to sit at the moment but theres plenty of grass."
"Fantastic place to walk the dog. Another national trust treasure. Café was lovely and had a good selection of vegan cakes and biscuits which were delicious. Grounds where kept lovely. Maintenance was being done on the bridge when we went however this did not spoil our day. Dog friendly café but unfortunately they closed at 3pm, an hour before the normal café. Plenty of places to sit an date picnics. Plenty of wildlife...swans, Canada geese, grebes and coots. Lovely Gothic church on the grounds, complete with gargoyles"
