Reviews
"Lovely and spacious pub in Lee with actually very tasty pub grub! I was pleasantly surprised at how flavoursome and well cooked the dishes were, definitely some of the better pub food in the area. Highly recommend the shepherds pie and fish and chips, they are a bit pricey yes but I think that is acceptable considering inflation and you will leave happy and full! Really nice selection of cocktails and got winter drinks too. Love that you can also order and pay from the table too, no fuss, great service and a really good atmosphere."
"I have never really written this kind of review before. But that was the WORST FOOD I ever had. I ordered a dry-aged sirloin, and it smells terrible and is too chewy like gum. I even really couldn’t cut them with knife. The pudding on the top was worst as well. The salad I ordered was just pickled with tons of salt. Customer service was amazing, btw. But I won't visit here again."
"This is the full portion of the chocolate brownie, with my finger for scale. Best part of £7 for this tiny mouthful. It feels quite like they are attempting to do a more fine-dining menu, but the quality isn’t good enough to justify the laughable portion size. The whole thing was way too sweet with nothing to balance out that sweetness, and the brownie had popping candy in. I can see what the chef is attempting to do, but it really didn’t work for me. Similar experience with a focaccia starter which had been chopped up and fried in oil as big croutons, for no reason that I can begin to fathom. Just a nice chunk of fresh, quality bread would have sufficed. My friend had some pâté he liked, but again came with almost no bread with which to eat it, so he scavenged some of the big croutons. This review feels quite damning, but I just feel that these little things are quite fixable and would make a big difference to what could be a really nice local pub."
"Has been recently refurbished and it is looking lovely. Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, lots of families eating out together. Okay selection of beers. The staff are really wonderful and always friendly"
"We had been to this pub before but it was the first time we've had dinner here. We were happy with the food and service tonight. We had salmon, chicken burgers, fish and chips and oyster mushroom bourguignon. I liked that the place was spacious and our table was located away from others, just as I had requested in my booking. The decor is nice and the pub looks festive at the moment. Personally I would prefer if the staff, unless exempt could wear marks when taking orders serving. I'm sure we will come back. Ps I'm happy to say that we have visited since then and we have had a great experience. My vegetarian burger was very nice and their neck oil is a great beer."
