"Charming Tudor style building and a warm atmosphere inside. We'd been told it was one of the most amazing Sunday roasts ever. To be fair it was good but not outstanding, both for the presentation and the amount of meat in one of the plates that had to be topped up once the manger was made aware (apparently they run out of beef and my friend was given the scraps). The round of roasts coming out after ours looked better presented and richer. Overall it was a nice experience but maybe because of the last minute booking we weren't really given the best table either. I guess we've been unusually unlucky and they deserve another shot."
"Simply cannot beat this place. The pub is great with a brilliant atmosphere. We went for Sunday lunch and I can honestly say that it was the best roast I have had out in London. There is a reason you need to book in advance on a Sunday as it simply is great food."
"This place is OMG - loved the music and I’m discerning but the food !!!! Veggie haggis roast - flavours swoon worthy, presentation impeccable - veggies cooked to perfection and I’m super fussy . Nice team too. LOVE"
"Not the best Sunday lunch and that's putting it nicely. The best thing on the plate was the yorkshire pudding and carrots. Most of my meal was cold the potatoes were cremated the gravy was very salty. When we asked for more potatoes the next lot were burnt than the ones before and then they ran out of potatoes, so we were told we we asked for potatoes that were not burnt. They did apologise for the poor quality of food and refunded most of the bill"
"One of my favorites pub in London, still authentic, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Food menu offer change every day and season, different specialty and chefs, but still love the burgers days! On Fridays and Sats now thus amazing Korean tacos"
