"A great little bar which is often overlooked. Usually plentiful seating, friendly and helpful staff, decent drinks and the food menu is good too - decent quality and reasonably competitive prices. Quite a few bars of this calibre in the area but this one is recommended."
"If you can look past the tourists and civil servants (the Home Office is just down the road) this is a great pub, and the vibe isn't bad. The staff have always been really great (thanks guys!) and there's usually plenty of seating; if you find early enough. Never eaten here though the menu looks ok. There is some outside seating (sometimes the heaters are even on) behind glass screens; the residents of the half-way house / homeless shelter across the road don't always cause an issue! The toilets are clean. Not the greatest choice of drinks, but I'm sure you can find something! Oh, and there's a large function room upstairs, available for hire."
"Good atmosphere, nice decor, sticky toffee pudding was good (could have had more ice cream though). Bangers and mash was WEAK. sausage was OK, potatoes were...... potatoes. But the gravy was thin and watery like broth and i had one, count them, ONE sliver of onion.i mean it's the onion gravy that makes sausage and mash and this was bad. Maybe the other dishes are better...."
"Popped in for food when walking through the area. It was very quiet and the server was friendly. Got the pie, which was ok and the parsley sauce it came with was amazing. They had high chairs for children."
"Slightly off the beaten track means for a quieter weekday afternoon drink, meal and chat. A large pub with friendly staff and a very tasty vegan burger/chips."
