"Quite cramped upstairs and can be very noisy but the atmosphere is good. If ordering food from Crunch, the in-house food company, only online via QR code on tables, beware of the obligatory 50p transaction fee on Debit and (possibly) Credit cards! I don't see the need for that. Optional tips of 5%, 10% or 15% can be added If so wished. Food is brought out from a kitchen on the first floor."
"On Weds April 13, I tried to a make a booking (via designmynight) for my partner & I for Easter Sunday vegan roast at 2p. On the same day Kate from this pub replied to my inquiry as follows: "Happy to take a booking for Sunday but we don't open until 4pm. It's also super quiet on Sundays so you won't need to book. Hope to see you after 4." We live on the west side and my partner wanted to go somewhere closer and earlier in the day but I chose this pub after looking online for vegan options. We walked 1.5 hours along the canal and figured we would be very tired and hungry - ready to enjoy a lovely Sunday Easter Roast after a long walk and having to wait until 4p to eat. You can imagine my shock and anger when I arrived at the pub and found a sign on the door "SUNDAY CLOSED HAPPY EASTER AND SEE YOU TUESDAY". I highly recommend never going to this pub. We went nearby (6 min walk from this pub) to the Angel for vegan roast and I can recommend the Angel = nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and most importantly - they are open when they say they will be."
"Such a great old boozer. Staff are really friendly and chatty, laid back atmosphere and they've just started doing amazing food with a pop-up out the front. The halloumi fries are delicious and the kababs are amaaaazing"
