"I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Bald Faced Stag, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The pub had a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease, and the highlight of my visit was definitely the excellent service I received from the bartender, Asa. The pub itself was a real gem. The decor was traditional and charming, and there was a great selection of drinks and food on offer. Overall, I can't recommend The Bald Faced Stag enough, and Asa in particular deserves special recognition for his exceptional service. If you're in the area and looking for a great pub with a friendly atmosphere and fantastic service, then this is definitely the place to go. Five stars all around!"
"Very cute dining experience, the restaurant is at the side of the pub in a separate section. The fish and chips was delicious the condiments were the perfect compliment to it. The price was really good also, I paid £47 in total for my mine and my friends meal & drink(she got the burger and said it was really good) The full menu wasn’t available when I attended, that was the only downside"
"My wife book a table for 5 at 18:45. Ridiculous! If I could give it 0 starts I would have. On completing the booking we specified the dining room since we had a child. We also noted that we had a dog (a puppy). We called at 18:00 to double check our reservation and to confirm that it was ok to bring our dog and we were assured we could. When we arrived we were told because we have a dog we couldn’t sit in the dining room instead were shoved in a cramped corner table by the bar with enough seating for 4 instead of 5 and another chair was brought which made the space super tight. We waited 45 minutes for our table to be cleaned before we were able to order desert. When my wife asked for the desert menu the waitress rolled her eyes at her and ignored her. We then had to wait a further 20 minutes for the desert menu’s. Then they had the audacity to add on their discretionary tip which I demanded to be taken off. The young man who came at the end to collect payment from us however was so polite and helpful and I tipped him £5.00 direct simply because of his amazing attitude. £116 spent which was a complete waste of money ! Will not be returning at all!"
"I have gone for dinner to the Bald Faced Stag for years and always come back. It’s maintained an excellent standard for good food with a changing, adventurous and delicious menu. Staff are always very friendly - we have never had a bad experience. A bonus on our last visit: live guitar and singing"
