"The Fox has had a total rebuild into a fantastic space. It has excellent food, top quality decor, subtle but plentiful large screens for sports, a function room, an Insta Feature wall and sparkling toilets. It's easy to see how the £1.3 million was spent. Our visit started when the pub was quiet on a weekday afternoon. However, by the time we left at 7.30 every seat and table was taken. It seems the local area and beyond are really excited by this venue ! I had been looking forward to visiting having lived a few doors away for years. The drinks : we sampled the London Pride and it was perfectly served and at a normal London price for an upmarket pub. To accompany our food we got a bottle of the Pinot Noir ( California ) and at just £26 it was superb value. Fruity, light, and smooth. At that price it has to be the best bottle of red in a venue in London ! Brilliant. The Food : we had a chicken burger ( Cajun ) and the beef burger. Both were served beautifully, were tasty and excellent quality. There was plenty of grilled Cajun chicken ! Chips were not plentiful but were crisp and hot. A side salad with coleslaw was well prepared. ( See photos ) The Service : the staff were friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and checked on how our food was. A final word about the development. The outside of the pub has been restored to its original glory. It looks fantastic as you can see from my photos. At last Palmers Green has a top pub and venue with the historic Fox fit for the 21st century. Absolutely top notch and must be in line for awards as the best pub in North London if there is such a thing ! Go visit !"
"We are happy that The Fox reopened after a long and eager wait, so we wanted to explore it. The decor still seemed a bit dated, although I liked the use of copper, but then too many tv screens are around. Do, it felt like its neither a trendy sports pub nor an old country pub, a but of mix and match which wasn't sitting together amicably. It was very busy and people seemed to be enjoying this hub to come together and spend some time. I had ordered Gin&Tonic which was about £6, a reasonable price. Not sure how much were the craft beers. Good to have something local like this again."
"Finally the Fox has reopened and I was pleased to see they have done a good job of the refurbishment. The prices seem a little high to me, but that's a today problem for all of us. I really hope this pub makes it. When I was there, a few days of their reopening, there seemed to be a good crowd of regulars. Certainly worth popping in and giving the place a chance."
"The Fox Palmas Green has reoped. Beautifully revovated. It could do with a few local craft beers."
