Reviews
"Huge venue with a large selection of drinks and a fantastic food menu, in particular the door stop sandwiches. If you're not happy with downstairs, try the upstairs terrace and separate bar. Also, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was cool, relaxed, and friendly."
"I would not recommend going here for food. The burger is inedible : full of cartilage pieces and definitely overdone. Very dry. The bun was soggy because of the mayonnaise from the veggies. The fries were dry and tasted like they had been previously frozen. Oh and they had child dishes. We got a kids' sausage and mash. The sausage was not the type most kids would eat, with fried onion on top and the mash drowning in gravy (see the photo). We asked to replace it but of course were charged for it. The kid's burger that came later wasn't better than the adult burger the same dry texture and hard to chew. Other adults in the party said the fish and chips and the Sunday roast were fine. Overall, I recommend to stay away from this place if you want decent pub food and especially if you are coming with a child."
"Great local pub with a wide selection of tipple to chose from at pretty reasonable prices. Wonderfully friendly staff that always have a smile on their face and are prompt with their service. The food here is really good and the portion sizes will leave you more than satisfied. They have numerous screens all across the pub showing live games that you can view no matter where you’re sat. In summer and during The Tournament it is common to have large groups enjoying their drinks outside and it makes for a very festive environment."
"Great local pub! It gets a little busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday was a little quieter and we managed to get a table and try their beef roast, which was fantastic! Definitely recommend!"
"Went there for their Sunday Roast. The vegetarian roast was nice. One of the nicest vegetarian roasts I've tried. Well- presented with barley and beetroot stuffing. Quite filling as well. My friend had pork jolly and chicken and they were also pleased."
