"Took my Freelander in to get the for sill welded, front left brake pipe replaced and rear brakes rebalanced. They did this all for £150 which is more than reasonable for a Land Rover. They were not able to do the tracking though unfortunately and they didn't have much covid protection standards."
"They have taken care of all our family and business vehicles. Couldn't recommend then enough. Always a first class service."
"The owner of this garage has been off sick with flu and i left my car with the other mechanic who works there this week. I was told i needed two breather pipes fitting and the repair would cost £60. He fixed it and i collected the car and handed me my key.. told me the water pump is leaking and to keep checking levels if i am going to drive it. (Sure it wasnt leaking beforehand but whatever lets give the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was....) I asked him if it was safe to drive and could he fix it and he told me he could but bring it back in 8 days as he had alot on. No indication of the problem or how much it would cost just told me it would be ok to drive if i kept checking water levels.. So i got it 200m before a horrendous noise started coming from my water pump/engine. Again it wasnt there before.. I took it to another garage who said that the pump needs replacing as its damage and to do so the cam belt would have to come off. He told me that information in ten minutes and gave me a ball park cost of £350... If i had been given this information by cheshire autos i wouldnt have had the breather pipes fitted and i would have scrapped the car.. What an absolute waste of money... been going here for years and Mal has never let me down. Lost a customer for life because this other guy was too lazy to look at the whole problem properly and give me the full picture before i spent any money... I will never leave my car here again... i have to go scrap my car one day after paying a repair bill because of his incompetence and inability to present me with all the information. Good job!!!"
"Following my son's recommendation I put my Honda Accord into this establishment for a second opinion on two unofficial advisories (front discs + pads and suspension bushes) from the main dealer and having assessed/fixed these get the car through its MOT. Mechanical work seems fine, but paperwork was a little lacking, leaving me unsure exactly what had been done. I thought from our conversation that he was unable to get the bushes. However, the cost indicates that they might have been, supported by a clean service health check by the main dealer. The only problem was that in trying to turn off the service warning light he turned off the sound system and climate control and all fuel consumption data - including a running average I had been maintaining for nearly 9 years - had been wiped from the trip computer. I wish he'd contacted me and asked what to do (I'd have told him ignore it!)"
