"Probably the worse experience of my life dealing with Bernadette the senior solicitor at Lowick McKay solicitors, I just second what most have said, nothing but poor service, once they have your fees they want nothing to do with you or help you, it was my first time buying and I was recommended this solicitors through an estate agents. And I trusted their judgement. Lowick McKay gave me a nervous break down! Buying a house is one of the most stressful things you can do in your life. And your solicitor is supposed to make this job stress free as possible. But not add to it. With total lack of communication and their lack of communication with their staff and also the fact they tried to con me by another £1k by saying I hadn’t paid my fees, so I had to prove with my statements that I had. And even then no apology. Having to constantly chase them up. I think I ever spoke to my solicitor Bernadette once. The rest of the time it was Carole. Both took holidays and didn’t pass my case onto each other! Total shambles this place! Stay well clear!!!"

The poor reviews on here say it all - but beware they also try and impose Non-Disclosure Agreements on customers who complain about the service they've received, so I'm sure there are others who have had bad experiences too, but who are prevented from leaving reviews. "we used Lowick mackay for our sale of house in Cheadle hulme and also for purchase of an apartment in the city centre. I honestly cannot speak highly enough about the service I received. as a customer I want answers to emails and calls to not be ignored. every email I sent was answered within the hour and every phone call was acted upon with speed and efficiency. for the two properties we completed in 7 weeks, on what was a quite complicated 3 way buy/sell. unbelievable service and i would not hesitate to use the service again. Added to this, I received a bill from the lease of my flat from before I moved in.
