"First experience (I think with the owner?) was fantastic here (mid week). Great service and good food. Second and third time I’ve visited on a Monday and the service has been terrible - no eye contact, curt and acted as if I was I was a major inconvenience simply for purchasing a flapjack. Would recommend visiting the other local cafes which have better coffee, friendlier service & better pastries."
"Wow! Amazing sandwich. Chicken, avocado and sun dried tomato on sourdough. Delicious and enormous. Only £5. My only concern was I think the price was too low in this crazy world we live in. It was worth £6.50. thank you so much. I will be back!!! No photos to add as took away and it is very happily nestling in my belly!!!"
"I was really looking forward to visiting this cute cafe. I was having a low morning so took myself out of the house and was going to work on some life admin. I ordered a latte from the guy at the counter, sat down and pulled out my laptop. I wasn't making any noise, I was just going to write a few personal emails. A woman came over and told me they don't allow laptops on weekends. I said I wasn't doing any work. She said something about the other customers (the cafe was only half full). She said I could only stay a little while. I felt very uncomfortable after that, cancelled my coffee order with the guy and left. Instead found a very friendly cafe down the road who welcomed me and my laptop."
"The coffee is amazing. I had a millionaire shortbread - they can always be hit and miss between different coffee joints, but reader, the ones here are LUSH, 10/10. Super friendly staff - and very helpful and knowledgeable with my allergen queries, which is always a plus."
"Very friendly service, lovely cozy and relaxing space to sit with a coffee and/or a bite to eat. I’ve become a bit of a coffee snob, so have to knock off a star here - although the coffee is from Monmouth, and has lovely flavour, their milk frothing technique could definitely be improved. My flat whites were too hot, and not well integrated (foam on top, liquid below the surface). That said, I’d still pop in here for a coffee and a slice of any number of good-looking cakes and slices behind the counter when I’m passing by!"
