"Staff are always really helpful. Sometimes more expensive here than at other retailers."
"Great place to shop for toys and staff are friendly and knowledgeable"
"I adore Smyths Toys. It is like walking into a toy shop of dreams. There is so much choice and most of the time they are really competitive on prices. I have had some amazing deals here and the store is always kept so tidy and organised. They are always well stocked and I never see empty shelves. There is a whole range of toys from big brands to cheaper alternatives that are also good quality. They have so much choice and cater to every age range, even adult man children. The staff are great. They are always friendly, helpful and chatty. Like I said, I love this place."
"We had a very interesting visit to the Kidderminster store over the weekend, my children had some money to spend but didn't know what to spend it on. As one of my children has sensory issues and it is very loud in store it can take him a long time to focus and choose what he wants to buy. So we were in there a while with him going back and forth to different sections. My husband took our other child to have a look around the shop as he had already chosen while I followed our child who was still deciding. During this time the manager made a b-line from the front of the shop all the way to the back to ask my husband if he could help with anything, my husband said no so the manager went back to the front of the shop (there were lots of other people in there who didn't seem to be asked or followed around). Then after everything was chosen we headed to the till which is right by the doors. As we did so (with my purse in hand) we were approached by a member off staff who clearly thought we were heading out of the door without paying (we were nowhere near the doors) I raised my purse up and said 'were going towards the till' and he continued to hover around by us. When we got into the car we both agreed we felt we had been watched and that the member of staff had been asked to keep an eye on us. Well I won't be coming to the store or shopping with Smyths Toys again. We were not acting suspiciously other than taking a long time. Maybe the staff and manager need to think about the fact that not all children can choose what they want within 5 minutes. Making customers feel uncomfortable and watched will only stop genuine customers from coming in."
