"Great place to visit with a difference and not too expensive. Kids enjoyed exploring all the different buildings and using the phones in the phone boxes. And the train which cost 50p! Definitely recommend"
"We paid a flying visit to the museum as we were looking for a venue for en event. What a beautiful place! So peaceful! Lovely old buildings nestled in with spectacular trees. Wonderful plants everywhere, and such a lovely energy. Fantastic panoramic views from the Windmill field. We will certainly be heading back there soon for a proper visit, and hopefully try out the little bedroom too! Friendly staff, highly recommended."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. It's a privately owned collection with no public money so it exists by people visiting and on donations. They have rescued many old buildings that would otherwise have been demolished and now have a great collection spanning a good but of local history. Not so many volunteers there on the day we visited, but still a great day out. Nice tea shop too."
"A fascinating insight into social history, through various buildings covering the eras. Worth supporting, in order to preserve them. If for some reason you're also very interested in phone boxes (somebody will) then they have a little section for that."
"I spent a most enjoyable few hours at this museum It contains a variety of buildings that were moved to this site so that they are preserved for people to see. Apart from these buildings the museum also has the National Collection of telephone boxes which I found to be most interesting to look around Very helpful and friendly staff."
