"11.02.2023 - Do not sell your to these if you want a fast payment. Says all over the website the money will be an your bank the same day if you sell the car before 2pm, I'm on day 5, nobody picks up the phone, finance is still outstanding etc. Wanting to get my car back off them to sell elsewhere but I cant get in touch with anyone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS."
"Sold my car to carstore (via Evans halshaw website) in speke Liverpool on the 8/10/22. Deal was agreed, logbook transferred to carstore, recieved a purchase invoice from them before leaving the car on their premises with the 2 keys. Was told the money should be in my bank within 3 working days. After trying all week to contact them after receiving no payment I recieved a phone call on Friday 14/10/22 telling me that unfortunately the car had been stolen from their premises on Monday 10/10/22 . I was then informed that because technically they hadn't "paid" for the vehicle yet they dont own it and therefore aren't prepared to pay me out. Despite me providing all the relevant documentation proving they had (email from the DVLA stating the keeper of the vehicle had changed from me to them on 8/10/22 and the purchase invoice) I have still yet to receive any payment. I've had numerous back and forth phone calls with senior management all week, being told on 1 occasion the money will be in my bank the following morning only to be told the next day a director has gone against the advice of his legal team an chose not to pay out. His reasoning was he wants to wait for the result of the police "investigation". I have no idea why or been informed how this is anything to do with me and is stopping them paying me out as the theft occured days after I had transferred the vehicle to them. After contacting Merseyside police myself I found out the case regarding the theft of the car was closed on the 12/10/22, a full 2 days before I was even informed the car had been stolen. After providing car store with this information they have given me no explanation to why there still not paying out. My advice is DO NOT give them your car without receiving immediate payment"
