"Awful experience at the England Vs USA game... Organised by '4thefans'... So much so myself and friends wrote off the next game there... despite having another £20 ticket. Opened an hour late, freezing cold, huge queues, limited staff, £6 per can of red stripe, minimal rank toilets, and wooden benches for the VIP section (everyone else was standing). Sound system very poor and bar tills stopped taking cards halfway through and became cash only. Food voucher was a couple of lukewarm samosas. People started leaving at halve time. Absolute joke. Do yourself a favour and go to a proper venue for these events. Avoid 4thefans pop-up nonsense."
"Visited for the England vs USA game as part of the “For The Fans” FanPark ‘experience’. Unfortunately anything but ‘for the fans’- queued up for at least 20mins in the cold with people being entered in single file through a sole door, not to mention the venue was poorly signposted. Upon arriving it was obvious that the venue was massively understaffed, with only two bars accommodating up to 1000, so queuing was a free-for-all. To make matters worse, all card readers broke 30mins before kick-off meaning everything reverted to cash- who carries it in this day and age? No cash points near venue but we weren’t allowed to leave and re-enter the venue anyway. Ticket price (£30) included a ‘pint’ (came as a 440ml can of red stripe) and some food (described as a pie on the ticket, transpired to be two greasy samosas filled with potato). Felt massively disorganised and underdelivered on the promises. Won’t be visiting again. Less fan park and more derelict warehouse with a small screen."
"Went to the Chernobyl experience (which wasn't great, but that's not the venues fault entirely.) Was far too cold for something where you are sat for a few hours, the seating was incredibly uncomfortable, and the worst part (which we didn't realise until later) was that even though we ordered 2 small cokes, not even the equivalent of a can each, we were charged £6.50!!! Absolutely disgraceful, especially as the price on the board for a standard coke was £3 each."
"Went to watch the Chernobyl ‘immersive experience’ Interesting venue, I’m sure it works for some events but on this visit it seemed understaffed and the organisation could have been better, queuing for a pre show drink was a painful experience with five queues being served by only two staff, lots of people gave up and went in to the show, we held on as long as we could and only gave up when the show had started. Seating was picnic type benches that filled quickly and staff had to bring more out during the show, the venue was also cold, no heating, not sure if this was to add to the ‘immersion’ but a few people mentioned it. The show itself, I know it’s not the venues issue, was pretty basic, not very immersive and seemed amateur in its execution, sound issues, the lighting was off putting and the description of what was on offer was very much removed from what was shown, we left around half and hour in. Disappointed but that’s the risk I guess. Also the traffic at the moment around the digbeth area is a joke, roadworks have turned it into a virtual no go zone, hopefully this will be resolved in time but it was stressful to actually get there, Birmingham city council need to hang their heads… Will keep an eye out for anything else that may appeal here as this may have been just a bad day, but I hope they read these and take feedback seriously, the ticket price was £30 each, not a cheap night out in the current climate"
"Eventually found the place after struggling to find somewhere to park in Digbeth. The whole place is a mess with the road works and road closures. Only to discover that the lamp post has the details to pay for parking. You have to call a number and go through the automated questions to pay. What a parlava! I thought he layout wasn't that good, especially the ones in the ceiling. Had to crank my head upwards to long to look at them. The lady speaking on the microphone they give you talks for a long time. The toilets are unisex, as I thought they would be, but no locks on the doors. Myself and my partner were not well on the day. I check the terms and conditions, as they said no refund, but could move our booking to another day if there are places available. So I emailed, got an email back 24 hours after my booking stating they do not give refunds or exchange days! I think someone needs to review the terms and conditions! Not impressed. Think I will organise a trip to Florence to look at the real thing. I was there years ago and missed out due to timing."
