"A wealth of knowledge and a true Aladdin's cave. Never seen such a collection of top quality English made tooling for Lathes, Millings machines, Manual and both CNC tooling make sure you a few hours spare as you will NEED IT! Bought some fantastic Vices and tooling for my lathe saving a lot of money. YOU CANNOT BUY THIS QUALITY ANYWHERE!"
"Here's the story... The tip of our plasma cutter broke in the housing. We eventually managed to drill the broken part out but the thread was damaged. Machine Mart Spares quoted £132.15 for a replacement assembly. Sheffield Tooling used to be Riley's, a place you could get almost anything. Sheffield Tooling is a more than worthy successor. I took a replacement electrode tip in and they provided a small tap with which to restore the damaged head. Spent time finding it, and only charged me £4. You what is really reassuring? Not only that such places still exist in Sheffield, but also that they're run by real humans, with personality and a sense of humour. My random visit saved me £128.15 - that's a result."
"Ordered a new drill for a job from their website, I waited for a full week, and no sign of it, I had no communication from them, no email, no telephone calls, no letter. nothing, I had to ring to chase, only to be told, they thought they had a new drill in stock but dont. But they do have a second had item if we wanted it. I stated as long as the flute length is 185mm we can use it, as we need to drill a hole 300mm long, so need to drill the bart from both ends, I was assured the drill would be ok as it was a standard 185mm flute length. Only to receive a drill that had 100mm of flute. completely useless, waste of time, waste of money. Never ever use this company."
"Half an hour wait while someone with little knowledge of tooling finds the wrong thing in the wrong size for me, then tries to persuade me it is what it's not, until I point out it would still be unsuitable in the wrong size! I'd tried here shortly after the shop changed hands and had to show them what I was asking for, I thought they might have settled in and learned the ropes and so tried again, unfortunately unless it's in a catalogue or you can point at it there is still a knowledge gap here :( John's response highlights that their specialised experience is in hole making, in what world is reaming not within that specialisation? I've just looked at a Hardness Tester on eBay, turns out it's from this company and not only does the listing fail to inform potential buyers that it's a Rockwell type machine but it doesn't mention that the vital indenter which makes such a machine functional is not included! I'm guessing the boss's surname is Finn!"
"Thank you for the swift delivery of the Abwood Engineering Vice. The product is in excellent condition and thank you to the team for the help and support in its purchase."
