"An excellent dance studio that’s very welcoming. The teachers are lovely and very caring. My little who is two loves attending and has already learnt so much. Could not recommend enough!"
"It's been nearly 2 years since my angle to be in Dance Studio 1 class, it was perfect! The teachers are amazing and everybody is welcome in those classes where I can ensure you will have a great time! Highly recommended!"
"Alice has been attending dance studio 1 since 2 1/2 years old and is now 15 She went in as a shy toddler and her confidence has grown immensely. She's done numerous exams in ballet, tap and theatre craft. Every 2 years she's taken part in a stage performance open to the public to watch. Since starting high school she’s become a studio assistant. Helping out with all the younger ones. Because of this Alice had just received a recognition at St Monica's for her dancing and kindness in helping others. Her dancing helped her through the pandemic as it continued throughout on zoom. I cant believe how much Alice has progressed since the beginning. It's not just dancing anymore it's literally her second family. Alice is in her GCSE year at school and dancing is her release for when revising gets tough. Exercise is so important to enable a healthy mind which helps with revision. She's made so many life long friends along the way and so have I. Thank you all at the studio for being so lovely, caring and most of all being the best Lynn x"
"Really fantastic dance school. My daughter finds the dance lessons very well and is very happy. Teachers always and the whole group that works really kind and helpful. I strongly recommend to anyone who wants to take their children to dance."
"My daughter attended Dance Studio for around 1 year. My daughter was age 8 when she starter and is autistic, shy and doesn't like being overly exposed socially. She loved the classes at first! She completed two exams, one I'm ballet and one in tap. However, Once a year the studio put on a stage show which means that the classes paid for turn into rehearsals for the show. My daughter didn't want to be in the show so Saturday classes meant nothing for her and she lost interest. I was paying for her to learn dance not to be in a show and I think the studio need to offer an alternative for kids who don't want to perform infront of others or this needs to be raised when kids join. When I raised this I was told that only private lessons on a 1to1 could be offered as extra instead. I also disclosed twice that she is autistic and this was not acknowledged properly in terms of offers for reasonable adjustments. Everyone is nice and approachable but I've come away with the experience that if you're child is not an extrovert, this isn't the place. I also felt the studio weren't bothered that she left nor wanted the reason to improve their company. There was also no offer to send her tap exam paper through the post. Some education on disable kids is needed here with education around what ro offer in terms of reasonable adjustments as part of the equality act. Also... be prepared for a lot of whatsapp texts from the studio about a variety of different things which several of us parents would discuss as a nuisance."
