"Product was out of stock but Lovely people to deal with."
"I've used various Screwfix branches recently, whether near my home or work, usually whichever has stock of what I want that day, This branch has to be the worst! So I came here on Saturday 9/1/23 and was greeted by an older lady who insisted I used a tablet to check in to collect my order. Now to picture the scene there was 3 people stood behind the counter doing nothing plus the crazy lady, there was only 1 other customer in the shop who was talking to the 4th person behind the counter. I said I'd rather just go to one of the staff but she insisted I use the tablet, i said I don't want to use the tablet and pointed out there was 3 people stood there doing nothing, but she went on and on until I used the tablet. No wonder this branch had no customers, maybe if they let the staff do their job they would have more customers? Why insist you have to use the tablet? I haven't had this at any other branch I've used and can only assume she's trying to get you to serve yourself so she can cut staff numbers"
"Lazy lady behind counter won't help find products on her computer and makes you struggle on the tablet, then there is no way of writing down the code once you have one. Very unhelpful"
"Don’t likey likey, don’t want to use iPads that everyone has picked their nose, cleaned up sh*t from their jobs, no no, going to go to ToolStation in future."
"Usually it's ok here, but I visited the store yesterday and it was a frustrating experience to say the least. The catalogues have gone: the lady behind the till explained to many people that they are trying to "encourage" people to use the tablets. If you remove all other options then you are enforcing, not encouraging. The tablets crashed: when I attempted to make my order using the tablets I attempted to use all four of them, three of them had crashed and one was being used so I went straight to the till. When I explained the situation to the members of staff I was given a snarky remark along the lines of "well I've just been showing that lady how to use it and it's fine!" "But those three have crashed" my reply triggered her eyes to roll which sent my blood boiling. Neither one giving any indication of an apology for the inconvenience. I ordered at the till: after having to convince them that I had no other choice than to order at the till the member of staff asked for the item numbers, I explained that I do not know them as I was going to look for them in the catalogue but they no longer exist, this time it was he who rolled his eyes. I decided after struggling to order three items that I would get the rest from toolstation. Extra information: whilst at the store there were two elderly people being forced to struggle with ordering on the tablets, this was hard to watch as I could tell they were made to feel like idiots. One conversation between the female member of staff (S) and an elderly female customer (C) when as such, (S) "have you made your order?" (C) "not yet I would like.." (S) " well, we are trying to encourage customers to use the tablets would you like me to show you how to use it?" (C) "I'm not very good with that kind of thing, can I just order with you" (S) "not really, I can show you if you'd like" (C) "can we just this once" (S) " ok but next time you'll have to use them" The conversation when on and I was no longer listening but she had managed to convince her to got to the one tablet that was working in the store with her. In conclusion: I will henceforth try my hardest to take my money elsewhere."
