Welcome to the Cockcroft Institute, a world-renowned centre for research and development in particle accelerators and radiation technology, located in Daresbury, Warrington. We are a collaborative partnership between five major UK science organisations – the universities of Lancaster, Liverpool, Manchester and Strathclyde, and the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC).
