"Awful, first visit for 3 adults, shown to a table then just as we settled ready to order no excuse me or anything polite as I would expect and asked to move to another table to accommodate a party of 5. We moved not really wanting to, by time we had finished only 2 adults and child at original table. Felt like we were aliens trespassing on others ground, stares and whispers from staff and customers especially the mother and daughter who were sitting in our original place. Very unsettling felt rushed as if we shouldn't be there not welcoming at all. Heard so many good reviews about Dace but I for one will not go back, staff not apologetic or bothered in any way and rude when I told them I would not go there again and that if was my first visit. Case of if your face fits I think."
"Just been in this cafe never felt so unwelcomed in a cafe so much in my life felt like we walked in and got snarled at we sat down to about 5-6 staff just staring at us. My partner had to go up for menus to which he just got a look of disgust like how dare you??. I wanted to leave but he said no. Then a lady came over who seemed pleasant took our order. Food came out pretty quick partner had full breakfast but egg was undercooked (runny white) As we were eating felt uncomfortable to have 4-5 staff standing around the counter chatting amongst themselves looking over. So intimidating and unwelcoming and couldn’t understand why so many staff were on with so few customers???? Literally ate as quick as possible paid and left."
"Just visited - waited over 45 minutes for food and watched two tables after us be served first. We asked twice where our food was and the manager came over and basically told us off and spoke to us like naughty children' - just rude !! After food arrived she then came over and we thought she was coming to apologise - oh no - she then proceeded to tell us if we want our food quicker we should have ordered with coffees when we arrived - but at that point we didn't have menus as we had just sat down. Her attitude is an absolute disgrace and it took every breath in me not to tell her how rude, ignorant she was. No idea about what good customer service looks like. Surprised the owner tolerates this behaviour or maybe she is the owner ) It’s a shame as other staff were kind and pleasant."
"I am vegetarian- i ordered a cheese sandwich to get back to work and find bacon on my sandwich. Which I now can’t eat. Vile. Staff were very unfriendly. avoid."
"Fantastic lunch today. Really tasty, high quality food at a very affordable price. Chips that taste like chips should with the ham, egg and chips. Good quality tasty cheese with the baked potato, cheese and beans and beautifully fresh bread in the prawn sandwiches. The tea was also gorgeous - strong and tasty. The cafe was very clean and the service excellent Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back next time we visit Crosby"
