"Beautiful little nook in Chorlton. Just wish the pub on the green had a decent brewery behind it, worst beer selection in decades"
"Excellent pub. Lovely village green. Nice little backwater feeling. Pub does great variety of food at moderate prices. Good beer. Bootleg Brewery on site. Pub has toilets but no restrooms, though you can sit at a table if you need to rest."
"Nice village green feel, shame so quiet due to Covid, usually buzzing in normal times, not far from Mersey and nice walks, Beech Road has a good selection of bars, pubs, and restaurants."
"Heard great things about this little place's dinners so I thought I'd try the Sunday Roast for a change even though I knew it would be a bit more money than my usual place. Well £13.50 for a roast chicken dinner you would except something a bit more special than a £7 carvery... Sadly my frills price was no frills. It wasn't bad by any means but it wasn't great either... Triple cooked roasties could've been once cooked for all the difference.... The chicken was moist, that's it..."
"I originally visited this place under its previous management for breakfast and ended up with overpriced and bland bubble & squeak, ineptly served and decided that was that. Given its new management sign I decided to give it a go, and was not disappointed at all. Being a vegetarian one is forced by circumstance to become something of a connoisseur of cheese sandwiches, and the vegetarian club sandwich here is pretty close to perfect, with the creaminess of a large chunk of cheddar being well offset by the sweetness of beetroot and tomato that actually taste of beetroot and tomato. The beer selection is small and orientated to German lager, but of a very good quality and dwarfed by the winelist, coupled with an extensive number of teas and coffee and soft drinks, even the non-alcoholics wont be lacking in options. The decor itself isn't particularly anything to talk about, but more than eclipsed by the quality of the food and the character of the staff. In fact the only negative thing I can say about the place is that the mobile signal is dire, which is of no fault of the bar itself."
