"We visited today for Halloween. The children really enjoyed their day. The decorations were amazing and the pumpkin patch was big, full and decorated fantastically. Was lovely to still see all the animals out and getting to feed them. The staff were so polite and helpful and it added to the day how welcome they made you feel. Would highly recommend."
"A fun, little day out. We gave a tortoise a bath (only on Wednesday & Saturday) fed the horses, sheep, goats, alpaca. There's dinosaurs dotted around which we enjoyed looking for, two separate park areas and lots of picnic benches. The animal petting was cute and the ranger was really good giving us lots of information (I can't remember her name). Make sure you take some cash for the animal feed, diggers, mini bikes and caterpillar ride, the children enjoyed the caterpillar ride."
"Convenient to get to, the farm is a surprisingly good diversion for the whole family for a half day visit. Many of the animals are friendly, gentle, & will eat from the palm of your hand (but be careful, they may bite !) Of special interest is the petting barn where bunnies (& pet rats) await ! In addition to the animals are a number of side attractions including a (farm machine towed) train ride, plus the chance to control diggers. The site is quite well laid out, with the chance to walk by the Rochdale Canal on a wooded path, with animal enclosures surrounding a pasture where the animals can feed & rest (if they are not interested in your bags of food - £1.50 near the entrance). Friendly staff enhance the experience, but it is advised to book in advance with a card (inexpensive entry fees), as it seems to be a cash only system at the site. Refreshments are also available here, but to make it a 5 star attraction, it would have been nice to have a proper souvernir booth. Finally, despite a little bit of tidying up & maintenance required in some areas, I would definitely recommend Lancaster Farm for an outing !"
"Went for the first time yesterday, myself and two teenagers. Wasn't really expecting too much but WOW!! Absolutely loved the place, much bigger than expected, lovely big layout for the animals. All look really well looked after, the goats especially fantastic!. Brilliant value for money ,plenty of places to picnic, clean toilets and lots of handwash stations. Can't recommend enough, don't hesitate just go and enjoy !!"
"Family friendly, little activities and rides allowed my 3yo to engage more. The snacks aren’t overly priced and even tastes decent! Just one star down as I think it could do with a little bit more “tidying”/ maintenance (some areas looked as though rubbish were dumped like buckets and tyres) and some unused animal pens were filling with weeds, dandelions etc. but other than that it’s pretty decent."
