"I was sold an expensive, completely unnecessary service and when I got my car back one of the buttons on the key fob had GONE. Staff didn't care and were rude when I asked about the problems. They are clearly out for your money. In their defence the work was done to a fine standard but an interim service would've sufficed (still quite expensive) and they knew it. Shame on you. Shame on me for not looking closely at the options but shame on you for taking the money and breaking my keys. I won't be going back."

"Had a leaking valve stem on my front passenger tyre. Dropped the car off at lunchtime and was called back a couple of hours later after they'd replaced the leaking valve stem with a new one. As they didn't have a valve stem compatible with my tyre pressure sensor they had to disconnect the sensor from the TMPS, but since they couldn't complete the job in full they didn't charge me anything at all for the work or the new valve stem (even though they fixed the problem with the leak so I can still drive around without worrying about my tyre going flat). Really great service!"

"Took my vehicle into them for a knocking noise on the front end and they diagnosed it as a top strut mount. Charged me £380 and the van is EXACTLY the same. Got it back in today and they told me it's a anti-toll bar link but they can't do the job. So I asked them what about the repair I've already paid for and they said well that's not down to them even though they mis-diagnosed it. So now I've had to pay someone else to do the job. I asked for a refund and they put the phone down on me."

"Been a few years since i've been to a Halfords centre and if my experience recently is how they operate, i will not be using them again. Took my car in for a diagnostic check and on arrival they did not know my name even though i had booked it online with all details. I was told they would contact me once they found the fault. Four hours later i called them to be told that my car had not been looked at yet. I was assured that they would look at it before they closed at 6pm. I left to pick up my car before 6pm without receiving a call to come pick it up. On arrival I was told the fault was an oxygen sensor and had been booked in for the following Tuesday and someone would call me in the morning to confirm a price. The following morning (sat) no phone call received and at noon i call to get a price. I was told the cost would be £1500. This autocentre must be employing half-wits or thieves, considering that my oxygen sensors were replaced in August. Beware of these crooks who will want to charge you for unnecessary work at extortionate prices."
