"Only a small local theatre but love it. Some of the seats are actually on the stage. Small cosy bar area and the drinks are cheap. This month we have seen Stax of Soul, absolutely amazing, and Suburban Swing. Unfortunately I was taken ill and fainted about 5 mins into the swing band's act and had to be taken out by my husband and son in law and I offer my apologies to the solo artist of the time and to the audience. However, my daughter remained in her seat rather than cause any further disturbance but, with her phone on silent, tried to message her husband, who was with me, to find out what was happening. The female solo artist made a sarcastic comment about her doing her online Christmas shopping. The theatre staff were amazing from the usher who lit up the stairs, the staff who opened the black out doors and the lady in the bar who helped me in the ladies and gave me a glass of water. And a thank you to the audience who in the interval looked for and found my phone which I had dropped. Hope next time I'm in Royton to visit again, next time without a problem"
