"This is more a backpackers, not a 'hotel'. The area felt very unsafe down an alleyway with graffiti everywhere. I immediately booked another hotel as soon as I entered the room. I asked the taxi driver that picked me up who has lived in Manchester for a while about the area, and he said it was quite dodgy also. You can hear other guests from your cold room as the door isn't properly sealed. The bed and pillows are so thin and quite uncomfortable. The pictures did not match what I got in real life. The shared shower and toilets were also sub par. I asked for a refund for the unused room but the contact person didn't seem to care or concerned for my terrible experience. They said "You want one response and one only - refund" And "Over 1000 people have reviewed my Hotel and the average score was 7.6 , let’s see if you can undo that . Good day." While it is cheap accommodation, you get what you pay for. I have seem other platforms with significantly lower ratings and I wish I reviewed those sites before booking."
"The most horrible stay I ever had. Dirty rooms (dirty sheets on the bed, there was a used towel on the bed and empty cans in the bin), the whole building smelled like beer as the toilets of the bar below the hotel shares the entry with the hotel - which is also the reason for the noise during the night. Also, the community-kitchen was pretty dirty and I haven't seen it clean in 2 days. I talked to the responsible about the given circumstances and he wasn't really friendly to me at all. WOULDN'T recommend to anyone, except for someone who likes the smell of beer, a dirty room and loud music during the night."
"Room was immaculately clean. Entry to building and room was clear and easy to use. Located a few minutes walk away from the train station and very close to piccadilly Gardens. The heaters work well and quickly, and are easy to use. No issues with the Wi-Fi connection or with the Netflix. Found the entrance door a bit awkward due to it being slightly narrow. The stairs are a bit steep and the turning points are tight especially if you have a small case. Shared bathroom was very clean but there is no plug in the sink. The location of the shared bathroom and the separate toilets are on a landing space, making the doors and stairs space somewhat tricky. Towels and bins changed daily. I didn't like that there was no staff and no reception, but it was made clear through emails that there was a contact number. Personally, because I'm deaf, I would have been more relaxed knowing that there was someone in the building that I could go to if I needed to. I would have had no idea whatsoever if there was a fire, or any other alarm going off. Shared kitchen was clean and tidy. Had tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, microwave and cooker. Can't remember if there was a toaster. The hot chocolate didn't say how much to use - not in the original container. Not particularly suited for those with any mobility issues. Absolutely ideal for a night or maybe two - meals are not included but you are surrounded by lots of lovely places that do food and takeaways."
"this is ridiculously priced for what it is. doors are blocked by nothing but a code making it feel like people can get into your room, made worse by the proximity of rooms to each other and thinness of separation walls. creepy radiator on the wall looked as though it was bought on shein and the lack of even a sink in the room is astonishing for what they’re charging and for them to call it a hotel. in fact, the bathrooms are shared between all the guests and there were only 3 - two of which were nothing but the toilet not even a sink to wash your hands. felt like emergency accommodation for homeless people except we paid 75€ for it. insane cost. scary that this place is still going."
"Personally I felt uncomfortable at this accommodation as there was not much security. As there is a bar under the rooms where the toilet for the rooms and for the bar are connected so I felt that anyone really could go upstairs to the rooms. The area itself was a bit of a rough one, there has been men fighting outside. Very loud !! It’s safe to say that I ended up not staying overnight and ended up going elsewhere as I could not imagine feeling safe while sleeping. The rooms weren’t actually too bad."
