"At least two of the staff members weren't welcoming, couldn't answer when the restaurant was closing and were always rushing. One of them were chatting in front of the clients that she wanted to go home and not be dealing with clients. I got to my room and the card key didn't work, had to go back to the reception. It has a great location, just a 5 minutes walk to the biggest mall in the UK. The room was tidy clean and was very modern."
"Great hotel. Reasonable price. Room was very nice and clean !! The bed was very comfy. Had a very good night sleep. The only downfall was breakfast. The queue was big and took a while to sit down. Also during breakfast the kids from other families kept filling up their plates to the full which meant we had to wait a while to get any bread and Cereal. Also they had no soy milk !! Reason for the 5 star is that this is the first premier inn I have stayed in which has not been a nightmare to stay in. Would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone as the rooms themselves compensate"
"Had a room booked for one night here, arrived and told we were on the ground floor. When we opened the door to the room it was absolutely freezing. Could not take our jackets off, I assumed the air conditioning was on. We went over to try and put the heating on, to our surprise the machine only blew cold air even when on the hottest setting. Then after 3 minutes it would turn off and start flashing, it was clearly faulty. We asked the front desk what we should do about this, I was assuming move rooms to one with a working heater as it is the middle of November. They said there were no more rooms and gave us a small heater. Having to other option we left the heater on and went out for 3 hours. When we returned the room was still incredibly cold (unless you were stood next to the heater) at almost midnight we were put in a situation where it was leave and go home or stay and be freezing. We opted to leave and the staff showed no remorse at the fact we had travelled here to be at the very least put in a room that was warm enough to be able to comfortably sleep. Luckily we didn’t live to far away and were able to go home however if anyone had travelled a distance here and were made to stay in those conditions I would be even more upset knowing I’d paid money to have an uncomfortable visit."
"I stayed in one of the Premier Plus rooms, and it amazed me. The bathroom was spacious, and had luxury toiletries. There was complimentary water in the fridge, and small chocolates alongside the tea and coffee sachets. And the room had mood lighting going along the top of the curtains, and coming from the backboard of the bed. Had a lovely night and would definitely stay again"
"We have stayed in this hotel before, the last time just a few months ago and had no complaints whatsoever. However, this time was a different story. Having booked a twin, we were given room 62 on the ground floor. This room was like no other we have ever stayed in either at this premier in or indeed any other. On the plus side the room did consist of two proper beds and not this double plus sofa bed nonsense that so many other premier inns like to try and pass off as twins. It also had a very large walk in shower which was particularly good for me as I have mobility problems and struggle with the all so common shower over the bath feature. However, this is were the positives stop. The room was much smaller than the usual premier inn standard and was incredibly basic. Apart from a small rugged area under the beds there was no carpet down, just laminate flooring that felt very cold underfoot. The desk had been replaced with a concrete shelf and there were no drawers, shelves or basically anywhere to put anything that you don't hang up. Even the luggage rack to put the suitcases on had disappeared in this room. The bathroom had no shower caddy or soap dish so you were forced to put your toiletries on the floor. A big issue for me and anyone else who may have difficulty bending. The whole room was small, cramped and felt incredibly sterile, the grey concrete kind of reminded me of a prison cell. Apparently (according to a staff member) these are trial rooms and considered an upgrade but personally I think they are awlful. We were not asked if we wanted to trial a different kind of room when booking and feel robbed of the £110 we paid for a one night stay. Just to add insult to injury we decided to spend the evening in the bar as the room was so uncomfortable, my friend wanting a beer and myself a cup of tea. when we went to order the server said with regards to the tea "we will have to see" as you have tea in your room" wow. I mean I have stayed in hotels all over the World and never heard that one before. The restaurant was also a no go as they had sold out of just about everything we wanted so snack from Asda it was. All in all a very disappointing stay."
