"I used this garage a year ago to have tyres fitted. I returned this week to have the same job done after being quoted a good price over the phone. I called the garage the day before to confirm the time to which the manager queried the price I had been quoted, but said he would honour it. Upon arriving i was asked immediately if my registration plate was correct... After answering "yes, of course it is". I was asked a couple more odd questions. I popped to the cash machine across to road and walked back. As soon as i got back i was told they cant jack my car up due to it being too low (the car is not lowered, sits at factory ride height). At this point it became very clear that they just didnt want to do the job for the price that quoted. The staff on duty were both condescending and rude. They completely wasted my time and i would strongly advise against using this company!!"
"Brilliant service. Great bunch of mechanics. Manager did my MOT today after fitting me in at short notice(yesterday). All new facility and equipment is top of the range. Highly recommend. Honest, trust worthy and knowledgeable."
"On 7 December, we fitted 4 new tyres, using Formula One Castleford for the first time. They seemed fine so we booked an MOT with them. On 17 December, the front right tyre lost pressure. We called them and my wife spoke with Gavin who was very helpful and explained the various options. Since our MOT with Formula One Castleford was due on 19 December, we went there before time and arrived there about 50 minutes before our appointment to speak with them about the loss of pressure in the tyre. We explained that the new tyres were newly fitted by them and asked if they could inspect the tyres before the MOT. Without giving any direct reply, the person at the counter said that they would do the MOT before inspecting the tyre and repairing it if it needed repair. There was not even an attempt to look at the tyre before speaking with us or any indication that they would be willing to do so. We could have even moved the MOT date but there was no attempt to discuss even this possibility. When my wife asked what would happen if we fail the MOT, he shrugged and said: well, then you fail. He did not look like he was willing to discuss any further. His tone was condescending and patronising so my wife returned the same tone. My wife, being annoyed, walked out to avoid a confrontation. He started asking questions regarding the loss of air on the tyre and speculating as to why the tyre might lose air. I was very unwilling to answer the questions and felt like he was looking for a reason to dismiss any responsibility for the previous installation. Very unfortunately for my wife, she stepped in at the very moment and was annoyed by him again. As she could not speak with him further she walked out. After she left, he said to me in a dismissive tone: "Take your car and go somewhere else. I would not be spoken to in this manner." I wish to point out that my MOT was due very shortly and I did not say anything to him that would, in my view, give rise to such behaviour on his part as I was only trying to ask questions and find out what would happen. As for my wife, while she was annoyed with his responses, her responses were muted and controlled, particularly in comparison with his patronising and condescending tone. Any condescension on her part, she says she regrets, was triggered by the initial rudeness and poor attitude we received. In her words: You could give all the right answers and still have a very poor attitude. We cannot comment on the tyre fitting until we get the tyres looked at at another garage, which, incidentally, without prompting, arranged for our tyres to be looked at before MOT with them. Apparently, the person we spoke with at Formula One Castleford was the day manager. We shall not name him on this review. However, we wish to mention Gavin who was patient and reasonable with us, even on the phone, and the lady receptionist who was also normal and friendly on 7 December during the fitting. Please note, Formula One, that your day manager at Castleford asked us to leave when we had a prior appointment for MOT. We would look for the relevant authority and would be reporting this behaviour. Please also note that no one would like a fail on the MOT if there was option to fix an issue beforehand, and if this was not an option, an explanation as to why. A customer should not be made to work so hard for an explanation."
"We booked our Transit van for 2 rear tyres which we had fitted the day before we went on holiday to Scotland. Half way their we had a blow out with one of the new tyres on the motorway. When we got home after having another 2 new tyres fit as my husband didn't trust the other, we learned that they fitted car tyres to our van and weren't not fit for purpose, knowing this as a company they should not of fit these tyres but proceeded to do so anyway. We could of had a serious accident, luckily we didn't. They will still not give us our £200 pounds back and my husband was treat very bad by the manager Ryan. Please think twice before using this Company for anything, bunch of cowboys!"
"Ordered my tyres through Black circles to be fitted here and can't fault them at all, booked in at 11:30 but managed to get it in earlier. They also seem to look after your alloys. I've been to loads of places before and you come out with plenty of scuffs on your nice alloys but not here! Will definitely use them again!"
